Evidence of Outcomes
Dyspraxia screener is designed to identify traits associated with Dyspraxia/DCD and provides a personalised onscreen and emailed pdf’ report when completed.

The report is based on your responses. It may provide you with evidence for discussing with professionals having an in-depth assessment.

Research basis
Dyspraxia (DCD) screener has been developed and refined over the past 10 years and is the work of Professor Amanda Kirby and colleagues.

Ref: The Development and Standardization of the Adult Developmental Co-ordination Disorders/Dyspraxia Checklist (ADC).Kirby, Amanda ; Edwards, Lisa ; Sugden, David ; Rosenblum, Sara. Research in Developmental Disabilities: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2010, Vol.31(1), p.131-139.

Restrictions and result caveat
Dyspraxia (DCD) screener is a research-based too, with a target audience of those who are 16 years and older. If, against recommendations, it is used for younger individuals, the recommendations and scoring may not be appropriate.

Clinical Safety
Dyspraxia (DCD) screener is a screening tool and this is clearly stated within the confirmation of Terms and Conditions. Note that since many of the users will be dyslexic, and therefore these Ts and Cs are all voiced.  However, responses to the questions may assist in speeding up the assessment process and have been used by some as part of a “pre-assessment registration” process.

Data Protection
All personal data related to an individual (Name, email address) is automatically deleted after two years in line with GDPR, Information Commissioners Office and Data Protection Act 2018 guidelines.

Do-IT Solutions has Cyber Essential Plus certification and is fully compliant with industry best practice.

Usability and Accessibility
Dyspraxia (DCD) screener has been designed by usability and accessibility experts who have published on the subject. Of particular importance is that all questions are voiced, such that all questions can be read aloud. Text is clear, well-spaced and easy to read. The layout is designed to be accessible to all those with the target neurological issues. This is to ensure they provide access to as many people as possible, including older users, younger users and those with disabilities. This might involve being able to increase text size where needed and work with voice software to help visually impaired people.

Dyspraxia (DCD) screener is an online service, which should work in most up-to-date browsers. However, the recommended browser is Chrome.
